The beginning of my holistic journey

Do you ever feel like it’s just too hard to be healthy?

Do you ever feel like you’re not on the right path? Like you were meant to do more?

Just a few years ago, I was a server at a restaurant in Alberta, Canada. Sometimes working 2 jobs at the time to pay for my adventures and travels. I was exhausted and cranky all the time. To top it all off, I was struggling with digestive issues, anxiety and insomnia.

Go back another 15 years… I was suffering from drastic weight fluctuation--- packing on pounds, and then dropping them, despite having what I thought was a good workout routine and diet. I felt terrible all the time, and I was totally disconnected from my body. I didn’t know the first thing about meaningful self care, and I was constantly worried about everything.

One day, I decided that I was done feeling sick, tired, and stressed out. I wanted to feel full of energy, and find a sense of confidence in my choices, but I didn’t know where to start. Desperate to make changes, I began reaching out to some of the people in my life who seemed to have their health in check.

I spoke with one of my good friends I’d made back when I lived in France, and she introduced me to a health-focused community. I didn’t know much at that time about holistic health and nutrition, but the group was inspiring and provided me with a wealth of information and the support I needed to start making changes.

I soaked up the information like a sponge! I started to flood my body with nutritious foods, and became more mindful about my thoughts and how they were affecting my life.

After a while, I began to understand the huge role that food and thoughts play in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

Through balancing my mental and physical health, I was able to experience a total transformation. I didn’t just look and feel better, I felt like every aspect of my life, from my career to friendships, were flourishing! The day that I started defining causes, and not just managing symptoms, I understood what it would take for me to be truly healthy.

Once I’d experienced this transformation, wellness and nutrition became my passion! I finally felt like I was back in control of my health, and I was eager to learn

more so that I could help others escape the fad diet, and stress-obsessed culture that prevents people from living their best lives.

I joined the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where I learned the science of over 100 dietary theories, and how to help individuals adopt healthier lifestyles.

I became a huge advocate for clean living, and creating a life of balance. Now, I work with women across the globe to help them achieve the greatest versions of themselves, and inspire a positive change in the world.

As a health coach, I specialize in gut issues, anxiety, mind-body connection, intuitive eating and helping women to be more confident of themselves.

We live in societies where chronic systemic inflammation is considered normal, and as a result we are conditioned to live with uncomfortable symptoms, or treat them as they arise. The symptom-treatment approach is like placing a bandaid on an infected wound. The band aid may cover the bleeding wound, but will be useless in healing the wound, and stopping the infection from spreading.

The truth is that so many of the health issues that people suffer from are caused by underlying disease, and chronic illnesses that are directly related to diet, and life choices.

You can make choices today that will make your life better, less painful, and more fulfilling!
